Target Audience: Nurses
Credit: 3.0 Hours SCNA and AHEC

Learning Outcome: This program is intended for nurses providing care to patients recovering from surgical interventions while on a medical-surgical unit. It will discuss the components of a nursing assessment for these patients that will also include incisional care and pain management. At the completion of this program the learner will be able to perform an appropriate nursing assessment on patients recovering from operative intervention and describe interventions used to prevent complications.
