Immunization Update 2020 (11:15 am - 12:15 pm)

  1. Discuss the collective role of health care professionals in immunization practices
  2. Discuss and share recent activity of influenza within South Carolina and the nation
  3. Summarize recent changes to ACIP and CDC recommendations for adults
  4. Obtain patient-specific information to identify vaccine needs or contraindications

 

What’s New in Asthma and COPD (12:15pm - 1:15 pm)

At the completion of this activity, the participant will be able to:

  1. Identify new medications and devices for use in asthma and COPD
  2. Discuss associated drug information for medications and devices regarding storage, administration, dispensing and adherence
  3. Discuss the role of the pharmacy technician in improving patient adherence to asthma and COPD medications

The University of South Carolina College of Pharmacy is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education as a provider of continuing pharmacy education.  This program is accredited for a maximum of 4 live contact hours (0.4 CEUs) for pharmacy technicians.

Once you register, 2 days before the class date, you will receive a link for logging in and other information regarding the course.

 If attending remotely, participants must sign in via the chat box in the WebEx platform, and participants must participate in all active learning activities and complete all learning assessments via the streaming software in order to be eligible for credit. No partial credit for partial attendance at activities will be issued.  Participants must complete online evaluations for each activity within 30 days (providing their correct NABP e-profile number and day/month of birth) in order to have credit reported to the NABP CPE Monitor.  All credit must be claimed and reported within 60 days.
